The late Mrs. Otto, of whose demise brief mention was made last week, was a native of Germany. Her maiden name was Emilie Tews and she was born in Pommern, October 15, 1842. She came to this country at the age of 28 years, coming direct to Henderson. Soon afterwards she became the wife of Fred Otto and they settled on a farm near Henderson. Two daughters were born to them; her husband departed this life March 23, 1910. Since the demise of her husband she has resided with her daughter Mrs. W. F. Wigand. She had reached the age of 79 years, 9 months and 25 days. She is survived by two daughters, seven stepchildren, 26 grandchildren and many other relatives. The deceased was a kind, Christian woman and was held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends here and elsewhere who join with us in extending sympathy to the bereaved.
