Death claimed him at the advanced age of 91 years, 5 months and 7 days. He was born August 15th, 1820, in Province Pommern, Germany. Mr. Pioske and family came to this country in 1867, settling on the farm in Kelso township, which has every since been his home. His wife preceded him to the grave about twenty-five years ago, and his son, August, with whom he was living, passed to His Maker about 18 years ago. The surviving members of his family are Mrs. H. D. Deterling of this place, and Mrs. Wm. Jentz, of Henderson, Mr. Pioske was honored and respected by his old associates of pioneer days and well thought of by all who knew him. The funeral was held from the Sibley Lutheran church yesterday (Thursday) afternoon, Rev. Schreiner conducting the service, and interment of the remains made at the cemetery adjoining the church grounds. - Gaylord Hub. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
