Reichenbach, (nee Ernestine Schutz,) aged 59 years and three months. The deceased was born in Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, Germany and emigrated from there to Sibley County in 1859, was married to Mr. Christ Reichenbach in 1860. She and her husband settled on a farm in this county and were among the early pioneers who did so much in developing this country and bringing it under its present high state of cultivation and progress. With habits of industry, economy and attention to business the family transformed the wilderness into a beautiful farm where they prospered and lived until about six years ago when she moved to Arlington. The deceased had been ailing about two years, but was not taken down sick until about two weeks before her death which resulted from cancer of the stomach. She had the best medical treatment and care and everything that kind and loving children could do for a parent was done for her. In every relation of life as friend, neighbor, wife and mother she was a woman of noble christian character and was highly esteemed and respected by friends and acquaintances. The funeral services were held from the Lutheran church, three miles south of Arlington Tuesday, July 25. The Rev. Roberts preached the funeral sermon and paid a high tribute to the life and character of the deceased. The remains were interred in the cemetery near the church. The funeral procession numbered close to a hundred teams. She leaves four surviving sons, viz: Edward, Louis, Charley, and William Reichenbach, also three daughters, two of whom are married. The family have the sympathy of the community in their hour of bereavement.
