Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Dwight Grabitske --------------------------------------------------------------------- Arlington Enterprise Thursday 2 May 1907 DIED - Elizabeth Riedler, an old and respected resident of this village, died Monday, April 29, after a lingering illness. The immediate cause of her death was from heart failure. She was born in Ischl, Austria, on Jan. 29th, 1835, and was 72 years and 3 months old at the time of her death. She was a kind mother and a good neighbor, highly respected by all who knew her and her departure was a sever shock to her relatives and friends. She came to this country in September, 1866, and settled in this county where she was married to Gottlieb Riedler. Their union was blessed with 8 children of which four are living and the other four and her husband have preceded her to the grave some years ago. The four sons living are Gottlieb of Brownton, Ingas, Charles, and Frank of this place. The funeral services were held yesterday at one o’clock p.m. and interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery in West Arlington, Rev. Rob’t Heidemann reading the last sad rites. The entire community joins with the bereaved relatives in their sore affliction. May she rest in peace.
