E. R. Schauer of Green Isle township, died at her home last Wednesday, Feb. 10th after a lingering illness of somewhat over a year. The deceased was born Feb. 17th 1868 and was therefore 35 years, 11 months and 22 days old at the time of her death. Her maiden name was Auguste Emilie Alff and she was married to Rev. Schauer in 1891. Five children besides her husband are left to mourn her loss. The funeral was held Tuesday of this week, at 1 o’clock from F. J. Tabbert’s home in Green Isle township. Mr. Tabbert is the step father of Rev. Schauer. Rev. E. Roberts conducted the services in the house while Rev. Reuter delivered the funeral sermon in the church and officiated at the grave. The following relatives were among those who attended the funeral, Fred and Albert Schauer, Mrs. Fred Soeffker and Mrs. Ferdinand Soeffker, Wm. and Ernest Tabbert and Mrs. Kron of Plato.
