She passed away after an illness of nine days with pneumonia despite the best of medical attention and the tender care of her family and relatives. Mrs. Schauer’s maiden name was Adeline Rucks, a daughter of August Rucks, and she was born and grew to young womanhood in Green Isle Two. Her marriage to Fred Schauer took place in 1906. Three sons were born to them, who together with the father are left to mourn the departure of a dutiful wife and loving mother. The remains were laid to rest in the cemetery adjoining the Green Isle Twp. Lutheran church Sunday afternoon. A large concourse of relatives and friends attended the last sad rites. The sympathy of the community is extended to the sorrowing husband and children.
