Schauer, whose serious illness we mentioned last week, passed away Thursday morning. She had been ill with dropsy and heart disease for some time and reached the age of 69 years, 11 months and 19 days. Lisetta Offilia Bertha Schauer was born Oct. 7, 1842 in Gross Lubs in the Prov. of Posen, Germany. She was the daughter of George and Caroline Quast. They came to Sibley county in the year 1860. She was married to Henry Dreveskracht in December of the same year, and three children were born to them, one of them dying in its infancy. Henry Dreveskracht died in February of the year 1871. In 1873 she was united in marriage to Gottlieb Schauer. This union was blessed with eight children, four sons and four daughters, of which three sons and two daughters are dead. She leaves her husband two sons and three daughters, eleven grand children, and two brothers and three sisters to mourn her demise. The funeral was held Saturday at 12 noon and interment was made in the Weckwerth cemetery at New Rome. Services were held in the local Luth. church by Rev. Heidmann. The pall bearers were: R. Kistner, Henry Bernstein, Henry Hillemann, H. F. Moskop, W. F. Timm and Aug. Muehlstedt. Those from abroad who attended the funeral were: Mrs. August Lieske, Mrs. August Norton and Mrs. E. Reichenbach of Gaylord; Mrs. John Waschenberger of St. Paul; Mrs. Herman Thoele of Belgrade; Rudolph Kletscher and daughter Elsa of Vesta; Gottlieb Quast of Buffalo Lake. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - CARD OF THANKS We desire to extend our heartfelt thanks to the many friends who so willingly assisted us during the illness, death and burial of our beloved wife and mother.
