Schauer Mrs. Fredericka Sophia Schauer, wife of John F. Schauer passed away at her home in New Auburn township Sunday, after a lingering illness of a year, aged 65 years, 6 months and 11 days. Deceased, whose maiden name was Hahn, was born in Lagenhafen, Pommern, Germany, March 25, 1847 and came to this country in 1879. She was married in Germany to Fred Zemke, with whom she had four children, two of whom survive, viz: Mrs. Amanda Schultz of McLeod county and Bertha Zemke who is at home. In 1888 Mr. Zemke died and in the same year she was married to John F. Schauer, who survives her with his two sons from a former marriage, viz: John F. Schauer, Jr., who is at home and Paul Schauer of this village. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from the residence to the New Auburn Ev. Luth. church, Rev. Hoyer officiating, and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery adjoining. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
