Schutz, who passed away at 6 o’clock Saturday evening at the H. M. Noack home in this city, of pneumonia following influenza. His illness of a week had but little prepared those near and dear to him for the end and his death came as a severe shock to his relatives and a wide circle of friends. A week before his death he was taken down with influenza and his condition rapidly grew worse despite the best of medical aid. His suffering was intense and death brought welcome relief to him but has overwhelmed his stricken relatives with sorrow. Henry Schutz was born in Jordan, Minn., Nov. 11, 1882, being 36 years of age at the time of his death. He spent most of his youth in that vicinity and came to Arlington about twelve years ago taking a position with H. M. Noack & Sons of which firm he was a member at the time of his demise. He was married to Miss Alma Noack April 14th, 1915 with whom he spent almost five years of wedded happiness. They made their home with her father, Mr. H. M. Noack. Besides his sorrowing widow deceased is survived by his father, Peter J. Schutz of Jordan; seven sisters and two brothers, namely: Mrs. F. C. Schilling of Philipsburg, Montana; Mrs. J. C. Montague of Bellingham, Wash.; Mrs. J. H. Heiland, Hopkins; Mrs. A. Ruppert and Mrs. W. Nolder, Jordan; Mike and Lawrence Schutz, Hopkins. Henry Schutz was a young man who numbered his friends by the score; his pleasant disposition and cheerfulness at all times was a trait admired by his relatives and associates. He was industrious and trustworthy. The funeral took place Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock with services at St. Mary’s church and interment in the Cemetery, Arlington. Fr. F. M. Doring officiated.
