Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Dwight Grabitske --------------------------------------------------------------------- Arlington Enterprise Thursday 9 August 1906 Passed to that Great Beyone Three former Arlington people laid to rest August Selle, Sr., passed quietly away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Fischer of Minneapolis Aug. 2nd. He was born Feb. 15th in Prussia. He married Caroline Mueller, and their union was blessed with 10 children, six of whom are dead. His wife died in 1902. Mr. Selle came to this country about 50 years ago, settling first in Wisconsin and then moved to this stated settling in New Auburn township this county at which place he resided up to the time that his wife died. His remains were shipped here Saturday and interred in the Lutheran cemetery at 11:30 o’clock. Services were conducted in the church, Rev. Robt. Heidmann officiating. Those in attendence at the funeral from abroad were Mr. and Mrs. Fisher, Ed. and Ernie Groshong, Minneapolis; Mrs. A. Isaaksen, Gaylord; Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Voight, Green Isle. He leaves to mourn his demise four children, namely: Aug. Selle of Jessenland, Mrs. Fischer, Mrs. Isaaksen, and Mrs. Voight. We condole with the bereaved.
