Henry Walter died at his home in Arlington township, Wednesday morning, Dec. 30th, 1903, age 71 years. The deceased was born in Westernholz, Hanover, Germany, on July 8, 1832. In 1856 he was united in marriage to Sophia Dorothy Bening and the year following they came to this country, living in Illinois for one year, after which they came to Minnesota, having lived here ever since. Five children were born to them, three of whom are living, namely Henry, Jr., Fred and George, all living near New Rome. The deceased was taken sick some what over three months ago, Brights disease setting in later eventually causing his death. The funeral took place on Friday (New Year’s Day,) Rev. Heidmann officiating. The remains were interred in the Lutheran cemetery. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of all in their sad bereavement.
