She passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Wigand of this city, with whom she had been living, Monday night, April 8, at ten o'clock, after a prolonged illness. Mrs. Waltermann, nee Feldtmann, was born in Hanover, Germany, in 1819, and was therefore about 88 years of age. She came to this country in 1837 and in Ohio, where she married Casper Waltermann. In 1855 they came to the state and located on a farm in Henderson Township. Mr. Waltermann died in 1863. Five children blessed their union of whom four are living namely, Mrs. Henry Wigand, Henry and John Waltermann and Mrs. Edward Wegge who resides at Perharn; she is survived by twelve grand children and two great grand Children. The relatives have the sympathy of their friends. The funeral was held yesterday (Thursday) forenoon from St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Rev. Father Kukelink Officiating and the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery of that parish. Six grand sons of the deceased acted as pallbearers.
