He had been in failing health for some time past and his death was therefore not unexpected. He was able to sit up until the Friday preceding his demise. When the final summons came on Christmas day, he was prepared for it, and passed away peacefully to his long rest, surrounded by the members of his family, all of whom were present. The funeral will take place tomorrow (Friday), leaving the home at noon. Services will be held at the Lutheran church in Arlington township and interment will be in Weckworth cemetery, New Rome. Deceased was born Feb. 18, 1827, at Ludwigsdorf in Felene, Germany. He came to America in 1854, and after spending two years in Dutch county, Wisconsin, he came to Minnesota and settled in Kelso township, near New Rome, where he has resided ever since. he was united in marriage to Louisa Quast in 1860, and seven children were born to them, of whom four are living, viz: John G. Weckworth and Henry Weckworth of New Rome and Mrs. M. L. Mueller and Mrs. W. R. Mueller of this place. Besides the children he is survived by his aged wife and four grand children. On Oct. 3, 1910, he celebrated his golden wedding anniversary. Mr. Weckworth was a fine man, a good Christian, kind husband and father and an accommodating neighbor and friend. He was of a quiet, reserved disposition and had many warm friends who loved him for his true worth. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Arlington Enterprise Thursday 4 January 1912 Locals: The funeral of the late G.
