The deceased had been in declining health for some time, and for the past month had been failing rapidly, finally succumbing to the inevitable on Tuesday, April 1, at six o'clock p. in., at Gaylord. All that kind hands could accomplish was done to make her last hours peaceful and she passed away in quiet slumber. She was a kind Christian lady and was held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends here and elsewhere. Mrs. Korth, whose maiden name was Mary Wigand, was a sister of John, Theodore and Henry Wigand. She was born in Germany about 86 years ago, and became the wife of Fred Korth, at Watertown, Wis., in 1847, and in 1855 they came to Henderson. Soon after the demise of her husband in 1899 she removed to Gaylord where she resided since. Twelve children survive her, namely: August Korth, Mrs. William Dretchko, Fred Korth, Mrs. Chas. Bonne, Mrs. Epperley, Mrs. Harper, Mrs. Dunkel, Frank Korth, Mrs. G. A. Kropp, Mrs. Raney, William Korth and Mrs. Parrott. * The funeral was held yesterday, with services at Gaylord, and the remains were brought to Henderson and interred in the family lot in Brown's cemetery. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of their many friends.
