Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Dwight Grabitske ddgrab@frontiernet.net Arlington Enterprise Thursday 23 February 1899 DIED HENRY WOELPERN After two years of patient suffering from that dread disease consumption, Henry Woelpern died in this city Saturday, Feb 12th, 1899, at 11 a.m. He was born in Germany in 1859 and came to this country with his parents two years later. He was a resident of this village nearly 15 years. The deceased was a good honest and upright citizen and liked by all who knew him. Four children survive him the oldest being 15 and the youngest 5 years of age, who will be cared for by friends. He also leaves 3 brothers, John and August of St. Peter, and Fred of Buffalo Lake, who were all here attending the funeral which took place from his late home Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. Rev. C. F. Koch officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Lutheran cemetery west of town and was largely attended.
