M., following a short illness of three days of poisoning. Mrs. Aaste Olsdatter Halverson was born June 10, 1852, in Hitterdal, Telemark, Norway. She was married to Thorbjorn Halverson in May 16, 1877. In company with her family she came to America in 1883. They moved onto the present farm home in the spring of 1907. The deceased is a member of the Long Bridge Lutheran church, of which congregation she had been a faithful and earnest member. Nine children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Halverson; 8 of whom survive. The deceased's husband passed to the beyond June 21,1906. The following children survive: Halvor, at home; Ole, at Sauk Centre; Inga, (Mrs. Iver Severson) at Barnesville; John, at Proctor: Anna ,one son, Jones died July 21, 1913. There are 23 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday forenoon at 9:30 from the home, Rev. J. A. Johnson officiated. The body was taken to Barnesville, accompanied by immediate relatives and friends and Rev. J. A. Johnson where funeral services and burial took place beside the deceased husband. Funeral service at Barnesville were held in the Gran church, with Re. S. J. Hauge officiating assisted by Rev. J. A. Johnson. All the children were present at the funeral The bereaved family have the smpathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- December 1933 (possibly the Sauk Centre Herald but not varified) Obit: PIONEER LITTLE SAUK LADY DIES MRS. AASTE HOLVORSON, WHO PASSED AWAY MONDAY IS BURIED AT BARNESVILLE Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 9:30 for Mrs. Aaste Holvorson (Olsdatter) who passed away at her farm home in Little Sauk township on December 11th at 12:45 following a three day illness of poisoning. Mrs. Holvorson was born June 10, 1852 in Hetterdal, Norway. In the year 1878 she was united in marriage to Thorbjorn Halvorson, and together with her husband came to America in 1883. Nine Children were born to this union, eight of whom survive. One son, Toni died July 21, 1913, and this son together with her husband , who passed away June 21,1906 have preceded her in death. Surviving children are : Holvor, at home: Ole at Sauk Centre: Inga (Mrs. Iver Svenson), at Barnesville, John at Proctor: Anna (Mrs Frank Brown) at Sauk Centre: Thomas at Harmony: Gilbert at Sauk Centre: and Henry at home. All the children were present at the last rites of their devoted mother. Mrs. Halvorson has been a faithful and earnest member of the Long Bridge Church. Short Funeral services were conducted Wednesday from the farm home at which place she has lived since 1907, at 9:30. Rev. J. A. Johnson officiated. Immediate relatives and Rev. J. A. Johnson accompanied the body to Barnesville where services took place at the Gran Lutheran Church. Rev. S. J. Jauge pastor of the Gran Congregation and Rev. J. A. Johnson officiated. Burial took place beside her husband. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community in the sad hour. * note - - Toni was actually their daughter not their son.
