YARGER DEAD" resided in Morris, Minnesota for many years The people of the community were shocked Tuesday when it was learned that J.A. Yarger had died suddenly that morning. Mr. Yarger started to the farm that morning apparently in his usual health, and was found a few moments later, by Geo. Davis, lying beside the buggy with his head pillowed on his arm. His sons were called and he was taken home, but passed away just as they reached the house. Heart failure undoubtedly being the cause of death. James A. Yarger was born in Pennsylvania in 1849 and came to Wisconsin when a boy. Later he moved to Webster City, Iowa, where he resided for many years; and where he met Miss Martha Hart whom he married July 5th, 1874. The family later moved to Morris, Minn. and came to Werner, N. Dak. in 1916. Mr. and Mrs. Yarger were the parents of nine children, two of whom died in infancy and seven still living: John, George, Harry and Marie of Werner, ND.; Perry of Palla, CA, Clarence and Ed of Morris, MN and William of Starbuck, MN. Deceased is also survived by two brothers, J.A. and William Yarger of Eldon, MO. Mr. Yarger was a devout member of the church, and a God fearing man who's influence was ever working for the good of his fellows. He had rounded out his full three score and ten years, and met his maker with the knowledge that his work had been well done. The remains were taken to Morris, MN and laid by the side of the life-long companion who crossed to the other shore less than two years ago." ========================================================================= Copyright Judy Morgan 2007.
