Duluth News-Tribune Tuesday Pg 12 September 10, 1907

        Fined for Fast Driving
   Louis Simmons paid $12.50 in police
court yesterday morning for having 
indulged in a horse race on Superior
street Sunday evening without regard
to the safety of pedestrians on the
street. Simmons' horse ran down 
Charles Voss, who was crossing the 
street at Lke avenue and Superior
street. He was charged with reckless
driving and pleaded guilty.
