He is a practical miner of long experience, but is not stuck on the gold country and advantages of Alaska at all. He says that there is gold there, but that it is in scattered places and not in the quantities that the people on the coast would have the world think. Mr. Voss prospected on the Stewart river and made a little more than wages. He then broke his arm and came back to this country for that reason. He will not return.
