He was born April 27, 1931, in Greenbush, Minn., to Asle and Nedline (Buley) Asleson. He attended school in Greenbush and later served the country as an Army veteran in the Korean Conflict. On Nov. 27, 1954, he married Irene VanDeHey in Baudette, Minn. That same year they moved to Aurora and Arlo worked for Reserve Mining Co. in Babbitt as a service truck driver. He retired from there in 1984 due to health reasons. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Aurora American Legion Post 241 of Aurora. Survivors include his wife, Irene; daughters, Bonnie Asleson of Aurora and Dulcey (Richard) Khelah of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Albert (Lois) of Embarrass and Oscar of Randolph, MN; sisters, Beatrice Haaby of Fargo, Clara Ziska of Roseau, Velma Klinger of Roseau and Minnie Frost of Molalla, OR; grandchildren, Samuel, Nadia, Jenna and one expected grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Gladys; and brothers in infancy.
