All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Claude B. “CB” Dunn, 99, a summer resident on Eagles Nest Lake #2, died on Saturday, June 26. He was born on October 14, 1904 to Pearl and Lark Dunn in Lexington, KY. He moved to Champaign, IL as a teen and later married Kathryn Dunn of Arthur, IL. He was a Senior Mechanic at the Noyes Chemistry Lab at the University of Illinois for 46 years and retired in 1970. During the summer he attended the Methodist Church in Ely. He belonged to the First Methodist Church in Champaign and was active in several organizations. His hobby was woodworking and he built three grandfather and five grandmother clocks for his family plus many other beautiful pieces of furniture. He was always doing things for others and was never too busy to talk and enjoy people. His sense of humor and kindness was enjoyed by many, especially his family. He is survived by two daughters, Pat (Bob) Jordan of Ely and Phyllis (Bud) Demlow of Heyworth, IL; five grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren. CB was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn, of 74 years.
