Kangas, 20, of Virginia, dies Jennifer L. Kangas, 20, of Virginia, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at her home due to complications from diabetes. She was born Jan. 25, 1984, in Watsonville, Calif., and lived in various countries and cities, and had been an area resident since 1992. She was a 2002 graduate of the Babbitt-Embarrass High School and participated in the drama club, SADD and yearbook committee. Jenny loved writing poetry and even had some of her writings published. Jenny worked at Fortune Bay Casino as a cashier and had plans to return to school in the medical field. She is survived by her parents, Kerry and Helen of Embarrass; sister, Kayla Kangas of Hopewell, Va.; paternal grandmother, Jeanette (Harry) Rinta of Virginia; paternal grandfather, Kenneth (Carol) Kangas of Virginia; grandparents, Harold and Helen Warren of Embarrass; special friend, Ryan Flening of Minneapolis; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her dearly. Burial will be in Sandy Cemetery North, Sandy Township, Minn.
