Thomas A. Kingsley, 43, of Hoyt Lakes died accidentally Monday, 
March 8, 2004, as a result of injuries sustained at work. 
He was born May 2, 1960, in Virginia to Erwin and Dorothy (Bluhm) 
Kingsley. He was a 1978 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in 
Babbitt and later married Cathy Maki on Dec. 1, 1979, in Babbitt. 
He was a graduate of Brainerd Vocational Technical College in May 1979 
and worked for Nelson Williams Electric until 1980. He worked for Buckeye 
Petrofuel from 1980 to 1983 and in May 1983 began working for Mesabi 
Powder (Austin) and currently worked there as a foreman. He was a member 
of Faith Lutheran Church in Hoyt Lakes. 
Tom was the best friend, husband, father and grandfather to those who 
were lucky enough to know him. He was a very devoted employee. He was 
so patient, loving and kind. Tom loved to fish, hunt and play holey 
boards with his son, son-in-law, brothers-in-law and father-in-law. 
He could fix anything, especially vehicles and liked to spend all of his 
extra time with his wife, children and grandson, Dylan. Words cannot say 
how much he will be deeply missed. 
Survivors include his wife, Cathy; son, Tommy Kingsley, of Hoyt Lakes; 
daughters, Kristin (Adam) Deutsch of Hoyt Lakes and Cari Ann (Andy Sahr) 
Kingsley of Hoyt Lakes; father, Erwin Kingsley, of Hoyt Lakes; grandson, 
Dylan Andrew Deutsch, of Hoyt Lakes; sisters, Teri (Tom) Austin of 
Brainerd, Cheryl (John) Nelson of Babbitt and Mary Jo (Jeff) Buchanan 
of Rocklin, Calif.; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dorothy and Gene 
Maki of Hoyt Lakes; brothers-in-law, Gene (Sherry) Maki of Hoyt Lakes, 
Jerry (Kathy) Maki of Herman-town and Doug (Pam) Maki of Hoyt Lakes; 
and several nieces and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Kingsley, in February 2004. 

Burial will be in Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, 
memorials are preferred. Casket-bearers will be his nephews, Jeremy 
Hawkings, Jeffrey Nelson, Chad Buchanan, Jerry Maki, Ryan Maki and 
Joshua Maki.
