A former Staples Woman passes away in Duluth, Sept. 7th
Mrs. James Morrison Called to final rest at home of her daughter

Mrs. James Morrison, well known resident of Staples for over 25 years 
died at the home of her daughter in Duluth Friday, September 7th. For 
several years she had made her home there with her daughter, Mrs. Edward 
Spencer.
  Georgia Rice was born in Oskosk, Wisconsin, on June 3. 1861. She was 
married to James A. Morrison in 1877 at Pine City, Minnesota. Thirteen 
children blessed this union, one son and one daughter died in infancy. 
Eight son and three daughters survive Mrs. Morrison, her husband having 
died in 1917.
  The family moved to Staples about 25 years ago, having lived at LeSeuer 
and Watkins, Minnesota. While in Staples, Mrs. Morrison was actively 
engaged in church and community affairs and will be remembered and missed 
by her many friends in the city.
  The sons and daughters who mourn her departure are: Frank and Fred of 
Staples; George, of Moorehead; Claude, og Beresford, South Dakota; Elmer
and Edwin, of Los Angeles; James of Omaha, Nebraska; John, of Lathbridge, 
Canada; Jessie MOrrison, of Dilworth; Bessie Morrison Ackler, of 
Minneapolis; Amber Morrison Spencer, of Duluth.
