Petrell, 76, of Hudson, WI and formerly of Embarrass dies Philip H. Petrell, 76, of Hudson, WI and formerly of Embarrass, MN, and Show Low, AZ, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, in his residence. He was born July 14, 1928, to Henry J. and Siiri (Levander) Petrell in Chicago, IL. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict as a member of the Strategic Air Command. Philip married the former Donna Graham on Nov. 2, 1963, in Grand Forks, ND. A Hudson resident since 2001, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He enjoyed traveling to national parks throughout the country and was also an avid woodworker, gardener and outdoorsman. Philip is lovingly survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Janet (Daniel Welch) Petrell, of Hudson; stepdaughters, Royann (Sylvain Alee) Petrell of Vancouver, B.C., and Christine (James) Petrell-Kallevig of Cleveland, OH; grandchildren, Melanie (Petrell) Sokoloski, Annette Petrell, David and Paul Kallevig; and two great-grandchildren, Dakota Sokoloski and Kelly Petrell; two sisters, Milma Naeseth of Madison, WI, and Olivia Kissin of Spokane, WA; and two brothers, Wilfred (Ursula) Petrell and Edgar Petrell, both of Embarrass; and many nieces and nephews residing throughout the country. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Graham; sisters, Ruth Petrell, Martha Kaupp, Helen McElderry and a brother, Roy.
