All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Peggy Ann Povhe, 49, of Ely died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at the Ely Bloomenson Hospital. Peggy was born July 17, 1954 in Ely to Arthur and Betty Ann (Tjader) Zorman. She attended Ely schools, graduating in 1972. On August 24, 1974 she married Fred M. Povhe in Ely. Peg spent her entire life in Ely. During her high school years she founded, owned and operated “Peggy’s Popper” where she sold popcorn, pop, candy and ice cream to many Ely kids during the summers! She worked for Lakeside Beverage as a bookkeeper and then worked for many years as office manager at Pamida and as a teller at the Ely Area Credit Union. Peg was active with Ely Area Little League and all Ely sports that involved her children. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend who will be greatly missed by many. Peg was a member of the Ely Presbyterian Church. Peg is survived by her parents, Arthur and Betty Ann Zorman of Grants Pass, Oregon, husband Fred, children: Ben, Alex and Bradley all of Ely; brothers: Sam (Marlene) Zorman of Ely, Herm (Faye) Zorman of Remer, Dale (Patty) Zorman of Remer, Jack (Nancy) Zorman of Ely, Glen Zorman of Ely, Gene Zorman of Ely; sister: Donna Zorman of Tower and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Memorial services for Peg will be held at Kerntz Brothers Funeral Chapel in Ely on Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will take place one hour before the service.
