FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Ely Echo [www.elyecho.com] Submitted: October 2004 ========================================================================= Angela Rose Vesel, 86, of Duluth and formerly of Soudan dies Angela Rose Vesel, 86, of Duluth and formerly of Soudan, died peacefully Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Oct. 18, 1917, in Ely to Joseph and Agnes (Mehle) Palcher. She attended Ely Memorial High School and married Jacob J. Vesel on June 25, 1940. Angela and Jacob moved to Soudan, where they raised their family. Angela was a life parishioner of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tower and also was a member of St. Martin's Altar Society and KSKJ. They moved to Duluth in 1989, where they became members of St. John's Catholic Church. Angela was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook for her family, especially ethnic dishes. She is survived by her sons, Jake (Mabel) of Fredenberg, Len (Barbara) of Duluth, Ralph (Katie) of Alaska and Mike (Gail) of Duluth; brothers, Frank, Victor, Louis Palcher and her sister, Mary Labernick, all of Ely; grandchildren, Dan, Jacki (Ron), Tom (Shana), Brett (Gerilyn), Bridget (Kerrick), Kevin (Kirsten), Desiree, Brandon and Nathan; Rory's wife, Cathy; and great-grandchildren, Riley, Conner, Valarie, Ashlee, Abbie, Alex, Kraig, Kristin, Isaac, Shayley, Rory, Tyler, Dylan and Zoie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob; grandson, Rory; and her siblings, Joe, John, Jenny, Julia, Eddy, Marge, Tony and Ludvig.
