FileFormatted by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy VanVleet September 2004 ========================================================================= William KELLERs honored on anniversary Mr. and Mrs. William Keller Sr., of Appleton, were honored on their golden anniversary at an open house at Trinity Lutheran church in Appleton on Sunday, Nov. 6. William Keller and Hilda Hoppe were married Nov. 17, 1927, at the Horton Lutheran church by Rev. Ristow. Their attendants were Mr. and Mrs. William Hoppe, Hulda Keller Lyng and Herbert Hoppe. Their flower girl was Lucille Keller Hoffman. All of these attendants, except Herbert Hoppe, attended the open house. The Kellers had four children; Vern, Mrs. Willard Beyer, of Hancock; Dale of Minneapolis; William Jr., of Erlanger, Ky.; and Diane, deceased. They have 14 grandchildren. William Keller Jr. was master of ceremonies for a program of songs, readings and talks presented by relatives and friends. Hosts and hostesses for the reception were children of the honored couple, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Beyer, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Keller, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Keller Jr., and also the grandchildren. Mrs. Leo McTighe was in charge of the guest book and handed out thank you notes. Punch was served by Mrs. Lanny Beyer and Connie Beyer. The cake was cut and served by Mrs. Clifford Snelling and Mrs. John Keller. Coffee was poured by Mrs. Pat McTighe Sr. and Mrs. Agnes Palmlund. Granddaughters helped serve the lunch which was prepared and served by ladies of the Trinity Guild. Friends and relatives attending the open house came from Orlando, Fla., Erlanger, Ky., Milwaukee, Wis., Black Eagle, Mont., Milbank, S. D., Appleton, Hancock, Morris, Quamba, Holloway, Hoffman, Chokio, Benson, LeSeuer, Madison, Big Bend, West St. Paul, Farwell, Correll, New Brighton, Danvers, Brooklyn Center, Ortonville, Hanover, Herman, Tintah, Fergus Falls, Olivia and Minneapolis.
