The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Lawrence Carney Funeral services for Lawrence Edward (Larry) Carney, 77, of Williston N.D., and formerly of Danvers, were held 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, in St. Josephs Catholic Church of Williston, the Rev. Raymond A. Aydt officiating. Mr. Carney died Saturday, June 21, in Mercy Hospital. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery. Mr. Carney was born Dec. 13, 1908, in Danvers, the son of John and Susan Golden Carney. He attended school in Danvers and later attended Nazareth Hall Seminar in St. Paul. After moving to Williston in 1929 to Begin employment with International Harvester Company, he was married Sept. 19, 1931 to Doris Wilson in Sidney, Montana In 1936 they moved to Devils Lake, N.D., where he owned and operated a Standard Oil station until 1943. He then became a partner in the McHugh Dodge-Chrysler Garage and managed the shop. After retiring from the garage, he Managed Motels in Minneapolis for several years before returning to Williston. Mr. Carney was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Survivors include His wife, Doris, Three sons, James of Austin Texas, Patrick of Minneapolis and Michael of Eugene, Ore.; two daughters. Mrs. Susan Dargavel of Bloomington and Mrs. Margaret Shacker of Royalton: seven grandchildren.
