The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Cecelia Dolan Funeral May 18 in Danvers Funeral services for Cecelia Agnes Dolan 96 a long time resident of the Danvers area, were held 11 a.m. Monday, May 18th at the Church of the Visitation in Danvers, the Rev Dennis Becker officiating. Miss Dolan died Thursday, May 14, in the Swift County-Benson hospital following a short illness. Pallbearers were Robert Dolan, Tom Dolan, James Dolan, Terry Dolan, John Carruth and Richard Dickerman. Frank Dolan was commentator and Janice Dolan did the readings. Music was by Margaret Dolan, Fran Dolan, Mary Beth Dolan and Rose Dolan. Burial was in the church cemetery. Miss Dolan was born July 5, 1884, in West Bank Township, Swift County, and the daughter of Thomas and Cecelia Dolan. She grew up on the family farm in West Bank Township now farmed by her nephew, Robert Dolan, and a Centennial Farm, in the family since it was settled by her parents in 1877. She lived on the farm until 1943, then moved to St. Paul where she lived with Edith Dolan and Betty Dolan. While living in the Danvers area, she was active in the Visitation parish, was a soloist for the parish and sang at many community events. After moving to St. Paul, she was a professional seamstress for over 30 years. Miss Dolan returned to Benson in 1974 and resided at the Meadow Lane Health-care Center until the time of her death. Survivors include 20 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, nine sisters and brothers. Out-of-town people attending the funeral came from California, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minneapolis, St. Paul, St. Cloud, Rochester, Mankato, Litchfield, Moritevideo, Belgrade and Willmar.
