The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Cashel Pioneer Dead At Willmar Last Rites For Ed Ferry to be Held There Tomorrow Ed Ferry, a resident of Swift County for 55 years died at his home in Willmar at 6 o'clock on the morning of Thursday, September 26, after a seven weeks' illness. Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Church, Willmar, at 9 o'clock Saturday morning, September 26, and burial was made in the Catholic Church at DeGraff. Mr. Ferry was born in Patterson N.J. on January 20, 1870 and was 66 years old at the time of his death. When he was a lad of six, the family moved west and settled on a farm in Cashel Township in June 1876. He made his home on that farm for 53 years before moving to a farm three miles west of Benson in 1929. In 1931, he moved to Willmar and lived there the remainder of his life. He was married to Miss. Sena Vold in 1915 and is survived by a widow and three Daughters. Mrs. Leo (Rose) Baker of Willmar and Misses Elizabeth and Celia Ferry at home. A son died in infancy. 10-1-1936 Murdock, Leader
