Golden of West Bank Died Saturday Pioneer Woman of the County Succumbs to Heart Disease and to Complications. First Settled in Fairfield Township in 1876 Lived in West Bank 40 years... Survived by Husband, One Son, Three Daughters Mrs. Philip Golden of West Bank Township died at her home last Saturday night after an illness of two years. Death resulted from heart disease and other complications due to her advance age, she being 84 years of age at her death. Elizabeth, wife of Philip Golden, was born Dec 18, 1838 in Ireland; She came to America in May 1861, and lived for a time in New York and Boston. She came to Swift County in 1876 settling first in Fairfield Township and for the past 40 years has been a resident of West Bank Township. She was married in 1878. Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. John Ferry of DeGraff, and Margaret and May at home, and one son, John C. Dolan of Minneapolis. She was a faithful church worker, and one of the pioneer women in establishing the Church of the Visitation at Danvers where the funeral services were held on Tuesday morning.
