Funeral services were held in Great Falls, Mont., on Wednesday, at Peace Lutheran church for Mrs. Bessie Henselin, 74, a former Appleton area and Holloway resident. Mrs. Henselin died in a Great Falls hospital on Saturday, March 7, where she had been a patient for the past month. Rev. Harold L. Hingst was officiant at the services. Interment took place in the Great Falls cemetery. She was born April 5, 1895 at Kimbrea, was raised and attended schools in Minnesota and South Dakota. She was married to Fred Henselin on Feb. 23, 1921 at Sanborn, Ia. The couple farmed near Appleton for many years, retired from farming in 1932, moved to Holloway in 1943 and lived there until moving to Great Falls in 1969. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran church, Holloway, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Appleton and a member of Peace Lutheran church in Great Falls. She is survived by her husband Fred, a son, Donald, both of Great Falls, a son, Vernon, stationed with the U. S. Air Force at Cheyenne, Wyo., a sister, Mrs. Martha Thomas, of Woonsocket, S. D., and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Herbert, in 1954.
