FileFormatted by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy VanVleet ========================================================================= Minnie KOHLER JANKE Dec. 5, 1876 to Aug. 10, 1965 Mrs. Minnie Janke dies at aage 88 Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Janke, 88, a resident of Appleton for 23 years, were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 13, at First Methodist church, Appleton, with Rev. John Krueger, pastor of First Congregational church, officiating. Mrs. Janke died on Tuesday, Aug. 10, of a heart attack at Appleton Municipal hospital. Pallbearers were Henry Dehne, John Risch, John Boelsen, Fred Rohloff, Leonard Kurrasch and Leslie Reinmuth. Interment was made in Appleton cemetery. Minnie Kohler was born in Germany on Dec. 5, 1876, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Kohler. She emigrated to the United States at the age of nine months. She was united in marriage to Rudolph D. Janke on Sept. 18, 1902, at Fairfield Evangelical church. They farmed in Moyer township. She was a member of Fairfield Evangelical church, then joined First Methodist church in Appleton. Surviving are three sons, Reuben, of Montevideo, Harold, of Holloway, and Melvin, of Morris; five daughters, Ann Melhouse, Adeline Janke and Rose Wallein of Montevideo, and Leona and Millie , of Appleton, two step- daughters, Alma Hadrath, of Montevideo, and Esther Ellinger of West Covina, Calif; 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
