So, sometimes it's spelled Kohler and sometimes it Koehler. My mother-in-law spelled it Kohler. I have used the Kohler/Koehler - whatever was in the original obit. ______________________________________________ Herman Freidrick KOHLER January 8, 1871 to March 29, 1940 F. H. KOHLER IS VICTIM OF PNEUMONIA Resided in Moyer Township 66 years; Funeral Held Monday Fredrich Herman Kohler, a resident of Moyer township for 66 years, passed away at the Kaufman hospital at 8:59 a.m. Friday, March 29, at the age of 69 years. Death resulted from pneumonia, which followed an attack of flu. Mr. Kohler was born Jan 8, 1871, in Green Lake county, Wisconsin. At the age of three he moved with his parents, Mr. And Mrs. Fredrick Kohler, to Moyer township, and he had been a resident of that community ever since. He was married to Anna Wrege on May 29, 1902, and they made their home on a farm north of town. He was preceded in death by his wife, who passed away three years ago April 3. He leaves to mourn his death, a son, Hubert, one daughter, Caroline, two grandchildren, Ellen and Norma Kohler and two nephews and four nieces. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran church of Holloway, where he served as chairman and elder for 16 years, and he had served on the telephone company board for many years. Funeral services were conducted on Monday afternoon at 1:30 from the home and at 2 o'clock from the Holloway church. Burial took place at the cemetery north of Holloway. Rev. R. W. Langhans officiated at the services. Pall bearers were Gust Kositzke, Ferd Holzheimer, Walter Behl, Henry Baumgartner, Sam Risch and Fred Winkelman.
