Kohler Funeral services for Robert E. Kohler, of Holloway, were held on Thursday, Sept 16, at First United Methodist church, Appleton. Rev. Betty Lundeen officiated at the 10:30 a.m. service. Mr. Kohler died unexpectedly on Monday afternoon, September 13, at his home in Holloway. He had reached the age of 83 years, four months and four days. Special music was provided by Mrs. Harold Lembke, organist, and John Rebehn, vocalist. Pallbearers were Curtis Arndt, Lee Guse, Orval Kittelson, Andrew Nelson, Raymond Nelson and Lawrence Schake. Interment took place at Mound Cemetery at Ortonville. Robert Edward Kohler was born May 9, 1899, at Moyer township to parents William and Emma Kallman Kohler. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Evangelical church in Fairfield township. He attended rural school and spent most of his life farming there. His marriage to Mayme Hein took place Nov. 4, 1948. In September of 1979 they moved from their farm to a house in Holloway. They made daily trips to the farm to care for the garden and the lawn and enjoyed 33 years of married life together. Survivors include his wife, Mayme, of Holloway; one sister, Mrs. John (Minnie) Anderson of Appleton; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. William Kohler, two brothers, Frank and William; and four sisters, Sarah, Esther, Alice, Augusta and Mary
