"Mike" as he was familiarly called, made a friend of every acquaintance and the whole community will regret his demise. We are indebted to our Danvers Correspondent for the following information: Michael McGee an old and highly respected citizen of this community passed quietly away April 16 at 2 o'clock PM of pneumonia. The deceased was born in Ireland in 1821 and came to this country in 1860, landing In Boston. In 1878 he re-moved to Swift County where he has resided ever since. Mr. McGee was a genial, whole-souled man with whom everyone was glad to meet and it is expressing it mildly to state that his death was deeply deplored by the whole community. He has always led an honorable and upright life and was a most kind and considerate husband and father. The funeral was held from the Visitation church at Danvers, services being conducted by Rev. P. M. Shea whose sermon was full of tenderness and feeling. After the address, Mr. M. McGuire, who acted as funeral director, gave the many friends present an opportunity to view the remains. After which the procession wended its way to the beautiful cemetery where all hardships and troubles are ended and he now rests with his God. A wife and three sons survive the deceased.
