The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Mrs. Michael McGee Swift County Moniter, 7-23-1909 Mrs. Michael McGee an old and respected resident of the town of Six Mile Grove Passed away in her home Friday morning July 16-1909 from paralysis. She had a stroke several years ago and a second one about 10 weeks ago. Her condition was critical since that time. The Deceased, Bridgett Dolan McGee was about 76 years of age and was born in County Caven Ireland. She came to this country with her husband in 1886, locating in Boston. After living there about 10 years they came to Swift County taking a homestead in Six Mile Grove where she lived up to the time of her death. Her Husband Died 9 years ago. She was a woman who was highly respected by all her neighbors and friends and was a devout Church worshiper. She is survived by three sons, John, Teddy and James, five sisters, Mrs. John McDonald of Benson, Mrs. Thomas Dolan and Mrs. Bessie Golden of West Bank and Mrs. Patrick McGovern of California and Mrs. Charles McGovern of Ireland, and one Brother, Patrick Dolan of Ireland. To these the sympathy of the community is extended at their loss. The Funeral services were held from the Catholic Church in Danvers (Church Of the Visitation) Saturday morning. Rev. P.M. Shea officiating. The interment was made from the Catholic cemetery at that place. A large number of Friends and neighbors attended the services.
