The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Former Hegbert Lady Is Dead Mrs. Mary McGuire, 90 years old, pioneer settler of Swift county. passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Agnes Connelly, of Minneapolis, on Monday. Funeral services were conducted at 7 a. m. Wednesday in Incarnation church in Minneapolis, with burial in St Agnes cemetery, Hegbert. Mary Dolan was born Aug. 22. 1845 in Cavern, Ireland, and emigrated to this country in 1860. She was married to James McGuire in Walllngford, Conn., on Oct.- 1, 1861. They resided in Wallihgford for 10 years, then moved to Fillmore county and in 1873 came to Hegbert. In 1910 Mrs. McGuire moved to Minneapolis. -She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Agnes Connelly of Minneapolis and Mrs. Lucy Connelly of Mount Vernon, Wash.; nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Rev. King of Clontarf and Rev. Byrne of Franklin officiated, at St. Agnes cemetery, with D. Mahoney, P. Banken, J. Ormond, A. B. Fassbender, Jim Hughes and M. Nugent the pail bearers. Mrs. A. J. McGulre of Washington, D. C., was present at the service. Mrs. D. C. Stotts and Mrs. Geo. Howard attended from this city.
