OLSON Feb. 11, 1911 to December 2, 1961 Services held for Emil E. Olson, 50 Funeral services for Emil Erick Olson, 50, a resident of Holloway for 16 years, were held at 2 p. m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Immanuel Lutheran church, Holloway, with Rev. J. R. Shepard officiating. Mr. Olson died at his home in Holloway about 5 p. m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. Pallbearers were Marvin Palmer, John Larson, Walter Priess, F. E. Holzheimer, Kenneth Hartkopf and Wesley Fystrom. Interment took place in the Appleton cemetery. Mr. Olson was born at Aitkin on Feb. 11, 1911, the son of John and Annie Olson. He was united in marriage to Hilma Carlson on July 25, 1936, at Aitkin. He resided in Crosby-Tronton from 1936 until 1945 and was an iron miner during that time. He lived in Holloway from 1945 until the time of his death. In Holloway he operated a grocery store and from 1950 until the time of his death he was also a bulk oil dealer. Mrs. Olson was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church, Holloway, and had been an elder in the church for three years. At the time of his death he was also mayor of Holloway and a member of the Holloway Fire department. Surviving are his wife, Hilma; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Olson, of Aitkin; a nephew whom he raised, George E. Clemens, three sisters, Mrs. Edith Leiviska of Aitkin, Mrs. Paul Beal (Mabel), of Aitkin, and Mrs. Edward Plisppison (June), of Aitkin; and one brother, Kermit, of Aitkin.
