Schultz, 70, a resident of Appleton for 60 years, were held at Trinity Lutheran church, Thursday, Jan. 19, with Rev. Lyle Rusert officiating. Mr. Schultz died at his home Jan. 15. Pallbearers were Amer Holman, John Busse, Alfred Sachs, Virgil Hendrickson, Palmer Torgerson and Hubert Kohler. Military escort was provided by the America Legion Post. Mr. Schultz was born Nov. 1, 1896, at Sisseton, S.D., the son of Herman and Anna Schenk Schultz Sr. He was united in marriage to Rosa F. Kohler June 25, 1922. He was a veteran of World War I and his lifetime occupation was that of a painter and decorator. Surviving are one daughter, Lorraine of St. Louis Park; one son, Robert, of Antigo, Wis.; three grandchildren; two brothers, William of Salem, Ore., and Fred, of Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. John Strohmeyer (Ella), of St. Paul, and Mrs. Hans Skytte (Elizabeth), of Lindstrom. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa, one son, Raymond, and two brothers, Walter and Arthur, and one sister, in infancy.
