FileFormatted by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy VanVleet September 2004 ========================================================================= Lorraine SCHULTZ October 23, 1928 to August 29, 1975 Lorraine Schultz Funeral services for Lorraine Schultz, 47, were held Thursday, Sept. 2, at Trinity Lutheran church, Appleton. Rev. Dan Abrahams officiated at the 10:30 a.m. service. Miss Schultz died Sunday, Aug. 29, in Minneapolis, after an illness of about six months. Mrs. Waldemar Schwarz, organist, and Miss Darcy Holman, soloist, provided special music at the service. Pallbearers were Wallace Wiese, Lloyd Thielke, Harlan Busse, Melvin Thielke Jr., Norlen Gades and Virgil Hendrickson. Interment was at the Appleton city cemetery. Holman and Winje Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Lorraine Schultz was born Oct. 23, 1928, in Appleton, the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Herman Schultz Jr. She grew up in the Appleton area and was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran church. Lorraine attended Appleton school, completing her junior year and graduated from Johnson high school in St. Paul. She attended nursing training in the Lutheran Hospital in Sioux City, Ia. After graduating from nurses training, she worked as an RN at St. Barnabas hospital in Minneapolis. Lorraine next worked as an instructor of intensive care at Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. She completed her work as director of nursing at Crestview Nursing Home in Columbia Heights.
