FileFormatted by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy VanVleet ========================================================================= Augusta KOHLER SMITH Dec. 4, 1897 to Oct 21, 1971 Mrs. Augusta Smith Interred Wednesday Funeral services for Mrs. Augusta Smith, 73, were held at the Appleton Funeral Home on Wednesday with Rev. Richard Collman officiating. Mrs. Smith died Oct. 21, a few hours after being admitted to the Appleton Municipal hospital. Pallbearers were Leonard Thompson, Leonard Massee, Claus Bruhn, Dr. R. P. Miller, Dale Dahl and J. L. Dow. Interment took place in the Appleton cemetery. Augusta Kohler was born Dec. 4, 1897, to William and Emma Kohler in Fairfield township and she resided her entire lifetime in this area. Her marriage to Hartwick Smith took place at the Fairfield Evangelical church in 1920. He preceded her in death in 1924. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Cosby (Lorine) Johnson, of Burbank, Calif., granddaughter Mrs. George Bonney and great-granddaughter, Jonna Lee Pangpurn, also of Burbank; two sisters, Mrs. Wm. (Mary) Nelson and Mrs. John (Minnie) Anderson, of Appleton, one brother, Robert Kohler, of Holloway. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents and husband were one son Clifford, in 1924, two brothers and three sisters.
