FileFormatted by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy VanVleet ========================================================================= Leona Bertha HABEN STABENOW May 28, 1912 to Sept 5, 1963 Rites held for Mrs. Stabenow, 51 Funeral services for Mrs. Reinhardt Stabenow, 51, a resident of Appleton for over 15 years were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Trinity Lutheran church, Appleton, with Rev. Paul Priesz officiating. Mrs. Stabenow died at her home on Thursday, Sept. 5. Pallbearers were Bernard Westhausen, Eldon Westhausen, Vernon Haben, Walter Bonitz, Erhardt Stabenow, and Clifford Schrock. Interment was made in Appleton cemetery. Leona Bertha Haben was born in Fairfield township on May 28, 1912, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Haben. She was united in marriage to Reinhardt Stabenow on Oct. 28, 1934. They farmed at Lake Elmo until Mr. Stabenow's death Sept 5, 1947. She then moved to Appleton. Surviving are two sons, Waldemar, of Minneapolis, and Dale of Appleton; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Bradely, of Minneapolis, three sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Wolf, of Watseka, Ill., Mrs. Gertrude Westhausen and Mrs. Rose Westhausen, all of Appleton; four brothers, Robert Haben and William Haben, both of Appleton, Alfred Haben of Danvers, and Alvin Haben of Lewiston, Idaho; and one granddaughter.
