(Amelia) Suckow Sr., 91, a resident of the Holloway area for 57 years, were held Monday October 24, at St. John's Lutheran church, Moyer Township. Rev. Magnus Peterson officiated at the 2 p.m. service. Mrs. Suckow died Oct. 21 at the Appleton Municipal Nursing Home where she resided. Special music at the service was provided by Lyland Reich, organist, and Robert Haak, soloist. Pallbearers were six grandsons, Ronald, DuWayne, Bradley, David, Garland and Eugene Suckow. Interment was at the church cemetery. The Holman-Winje Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Amelia Buttenhoff Suckow was born at Howard Lake July 31, 1886, the daughter of parents Carl and Mathilda Buttenhoff. She grew up in Howard Lake and later went to Holloway. Her marriage to Wm. F. Suckow St. took place May 2, 1920. They farmed in Moyer township until 1946 when they retired and moved to Holloway. In April 1975 Mrs. Suckow became a resident at Appleton Municipal Nursing Home. Mrs .Suckow was a member of St. John's Lutheran church. Survivors are one son, William Suckow, Jr.; eight grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Buttenhoff; her husband, Wm. F. Suckow Sr.; two sons, one daughter, four sisters and two brothers.
