FileFormatted by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy VanVleet ========================================================================= Carl August SUCKOW July 30, 1882 to March 15, 1965 Final rites held for area resident Funeral services for Carl Suckow, 82, a lifetime resident of the Appleton area, were held at 2:30 p. m. on Saturday March 20, at Immanuel Lutheran church, Holloway, with Rev. Marlo Lemke officiating. Mr. Suckow died at Appleton Municipal hospital on Monday March 15. Pallbearers were Edgar Schlieman, Manville Schlieman, Fred Vollmor, Gerhardt Suckow, Alvin Beyer and Raymond Schlieman. Interment took place in Moyer cemetery. Carl August Suckow was born at Holloway on July 30, 1882, the son of Carl and Wilhelminia Suckow. He grew up in Moyer township where he lived and farmed until 1943. He then moved to Holloway. On May 11, 1909 he was united in marriage to Anna Winkelman. Mrs. Suckow died Feb. 19, 1937. He then married Marie Kohler on June 15, 1938. She died May 24, 1953. On June 20, 1956 he married Emma Beyer. He was baptized ad confirmed at St. John's Lutheran church, Moyer township, and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church, Holloway. Surviving are his wife, Emma, of Holloway; one son, Willard Suckow, of Holloway; two daughters, Mrs. Lorene Janke and Mrs. Eleanor Hamann, both of Holloway; one brother, Fred Suckow, of Yakima, Wash; one sister, Mrs. Martha Beyer, of Holloway; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
