So, sometimes it's spelled Kohler and sometimes it Koehler. My mother-in-law spelled it Kohler. I have used the Kohler/Koehler - whatever was in the original obit. ______________________________________________ This indicates she is survived by five children but only lists three. Marie Elisie HOPPE WEISS KOHLER SUCKOW June 27, 1883 to May 24, 1953 Rites Held for Mrs. Carl Suckow Funeral services for Mrs. Carl Suckow, 69, who died at the Appleton Municipal hospital May 24, were held at St. John's Lutheran church, Moyer township, Thursday, May 28. Death was attributed to pneumonia. Rev. H. W. Krull officiated with Lyland Reich serving as organist. Pallbearers were Wm. Hahn, Wm. Hoppe, Paul Mesenbrink, Fred Vollmer, Gerhardt Suckow and Raymond Beyer. Interment was made in the church cemetery. Marie Elise Hoppe was born June 27, 1883, in Fairfield township, the daughter of August Hoppe and Bertha Tews Hoppe. She was united in marriage to John Weiss Feb. 28, 1902 and to Julius Kohler Nov. 13, 1912, both preceding her in death. She married Carl Suckow June 15, 1938, who survives. She was baptized July 22, 1883, at the Evangelical Lutheran church in Fairfield by Pastor E. Stroelin and confirmed April 11, 1897, by Pastor C. Albrecht. At death she was a member of St. John's Lutheran church and the Ladies Aid. She resided in Swift county her entire lifetime except for 15 years when she resided in Stevens county from 1923 to 1938. Survivors include in addition to her husband, five children; Herbert Weiss of Hancock, Clarence Weiss, of Morris, Mrs. Mabel Osborne, of Enid, Okla., and one brother Fred , of Yakima, Wash. Preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters and three brothers.
