Suckow Dies Wilhelm F. Suckow, one of the first settlers in Moyer Township, passed away on Friday morning at the age of 87 years. Wilhelm Fredrick Suckow was born July 29, 1840 in Neumark, Germany. He came to America and to Green Lake County, Wisconsin, in 1867. On March 16, 1872, he was married to Ernestina Verch and they came to Swift County and took up a homestead in Moyer Township in 1873, which was his home until his death. They made the trip from Wisconsin by wagon with a team of oxen. Mr. and Mrs. Suckow celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1922. He is survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Koosmann, Frank Suckow of Moyer Township and William and Miss Anna on the home farm and Mrs. Hubert Wrege of Mellen, Wisconsin. Thirty grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive with two brothers, Carl Suckow of Holloway and Frank Suckow of Moyer and two sisters, Mrs. R.H. Ehrenberg (Augusta) of this city and Mrs. Christ Lent of New Ulm.
