FileFormatted by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy VanVleet ========================================================================= Rose Marie HABEN WESTHAUSEN June 2, 1909 to February 16, 1984 Rose Westhausen Funeral services for Rose Westhausen were held February 19, 1984, at 2 p. m. from Immanuel Lutheran Church, Shibel Township. Mrs. Westhausen died February 16 at the age of 74 years, 8 months and 14 days. Rev H. V. Buchholtz was the officiant at the funeral services. Mrs. Loren Harst was the organist. The congregation sang four hymns, "A Mighty Fortress is Our God", "I know That My Redeemer Lives", "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and her confirmation hym, "Jesus Lead Thou On". Casketbearers were her nephews and godchildren, Orville Beyer, Vernon Haben, Elred Wolf, Richard Lubenow, Myron Haben and Raymond Gruetzman. Interment was at the Appleton City Cemetery. The Simonson Funeral Chapel of Benson was in charge of arrangements. Rose Marie nee Haben Westhausen was born June 2, 1909, to parents George and Johanna nee Weiss Haben. She was baptized Jun 20th, 1909 and confirmed March 25, 1923 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fairfield Township. She was united in marriage to Bernhard Westhausen on September 25, 1937 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Shible Township, of which she became an active member. Their marriage was blessed with 4 children. Rose died at the Appleton Municipal Hospital on February 16th. She is survived by her children, Bernard and Eldon Westhausen, both of Appleton, Louis nee Westhausen Rudnick,of Appleton, Judith nee Westhausen Berthiaume, of Tacoma, Wash.; one daughter-in-law, Marcella nee Larson Westhausen of Appleton; two sons-in-law, Michael Rudnick of Appleton, and Courtney Berthiaurne, of Tacoma, Wash,; eight grandchildren, Shari, Kevin, and David Rudnick of Appleton, Stacy, Tammy and George Berthiaume, of Tacoma, Wash., Koni and Daryl Westhausen of Appleton; two brothers, Robert Haben, of Holloway, and Alvin Haben, of Alexandria; two sisters, Charlotte Wolf, Tempe, Arizona, and Gertrude Westhausen, of Appleton; several nieces and nephews and numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernhard, On June 15, 1956, and her parents, four brothers, John, Alfred, William, Henry, three sisters, Hedevig, Molly, Leona.
