FileFormatted by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy VanVleet September 2004 ========================================================================= Ervin ZICK June 17, 1901 to October 6, 1964 Ervin Zick, 63, interred Oct. 9 Funeral services for Ervin Zick, 63 of Appleton, were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, at Trinity Lutheran church, Appleton, Rev. Paul A. Priez officiating. Mr. Zick died on Tuesday morning Oct 6, at Doege Nursing Home. Mr. Zick has been in failing health for the past seven years. Pallbearers were Elmer Haase, Myron Schell, Julius C. Anderson, Alfred Sachs, Gerald Maher and Helmuth Wilkening. Interment was made in Appleton cemetery. Ervin William Zick was born on June 17, 1901, at Clinton, the son of William and Lena Luedtke Zick. He was united in marriage to Hertha Kohler on Oct. 16, 1924, at Holloway. She died Oct. 26, 1948. On Sept 6, 1958 at Ortonville, he was united in marriage to Emilie Fredrickson. Mr. Zick lived in Marysland township until 1957 when he moved to Appleton. He farmed during his lifetime. Surviving are his wife, Emilie, of Appleton; one son, Werner, of Council Bluffs, Ia; two step-sons Martin Schmidt of Ortonville, and Earl Schmidt, of Sonoma, Calif; two brothers, Alvin Zick of Appleton, and Arnold Zick of Vesta; two sisters, Mrs. Edwin Reuss (Evelyn) of Danvers and Mrs. Grant Hegg (Edna), of Madison; and one step-grandson. Mr. Zick was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife and one son who died in infancy.
